It is a matter of great pleasure and privilege to lead Yogoda Satsanga Palpara Mahavidyalaya (NAAC Accredited-B), Palpara, Purba Medinipur. This premier educational institution, under the auspices of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSSI), was established in 1964 and is affiliated with Vidyasagar University, Midnapore. Our institution is committed to impart quality education and foster holistic development among students. My vision is to elevate Yogoda Satsanga Palpara Mahavidyalaya into a multi-disciplinary institution through an enabling work and research culture, collaborative learning approaches, and the integration of technology. This will result in the skill development of students with appropriate value orientation. As the team lead, I strive for excellence in both scholastic and co-scholastic activities, ensuring the holistic development of all students. Our institution has been running the Paramahansa Yogananda Center for Career Counselling (PYCCC) since July 2017, under the patronage of YSSI, Dakshineswar, Kolkata. This center aims to enhance students' employment potential, preparing them for the emerging world of work.
Our institution, dedicated to excellence, offers degrees in various disciplines, including Languages, Social Sciences, Humanities, Sciences and Teacher Education. These courses provide a solid foundation for students' education. Beyond classroom learning, students regularly engage with faculty members in laboratories, participate in Value added/ Add on courses, in cultural and social activities, attend seminars/webinars, conferences and pursue research-oriented activities. Our activities focus on physical development, character building, moral, ethical and spiritual developments leading to holistic progress of students, bringing out their best potential and transforming them into the most valuable human resources of our country.
Situated in the rural south-west corner from the district headquarters of Purba Medinipur, West Bengal ,Yogoda Satsanga Palpara Mahavidyalaya draws students from various districts of West Bengal, including different parts of Purba Medinipur and other states. Our institution has a legacy of yielding bright students and scholars who have excelled nationally and internationally.
In the wake of implementation of NEP 2020 our Institution is striving to ensure inter and multidisciplinary approach in the teaching learning process; to actualize the benefits of Academic Bank of Credits, to aware and promote the genesis of Indian Knowledge system among the stakeholders; to ensure skill development of the students through innovation, incubation and entrepreneurship; to focus on outcome based education by accelerating online education. We are trying to make our Institution to actualize access, equity, quality, affordability and accountability by bringing transformation in Higher Education as an HEI.
